Privacy policy
You can use Dose Radar without an email or account. Optional contact requests are stored separately from product lookups; your health and fitness profile remains on your device.
Data stored on your device
Your supplement stack, comparison choices, label-analysis entries, schedule, reminder preferences, and optional My Profile record are stored locally in your browser or on your device. My Profile can include a first name or nickname, adult age band, weight, optional height, goals, activities, training frequency, diet pattern, caffeine sensitivity, and high-level safety flags. Dose Radar does not ask for a diagnosis, medicine name, laboratory result, full birth date, address, or phone number. This beta does not create a cloud account or upload the profile to a Dose Radar server.
Camera and barcode lookup
Dose Radar requests camera access only when you choose to scan a product barcode. Camera frames are processed on your device and are not uploaded or retained during a normal scan. The encoded digits and detected barcode format are sent to Dose Radar's server, which may query the U.S. National Institutes of Health Dietary Supplement Label Database and Open Food Facts. Exact official-label results may be saved in the shared product registry; unresolved and community-only codes may be saved in a review queue. These records contain product identifiers and source results, not your name or health information.
Optional package-photo submissions
If a code is unknown, you may explicitly submit photos of the package front, Nutrition or Supplement Facts panel, and optionally the barcode. Dose Radar also stores the brand, product name, package size, market country, and canonical GTIN with those images in a private review inbox. The photos are not published automatically and are used to verify the exact package and maintain an auditable label source. Do not include people, receipts, addresses, prescription labels, or other personal information in the frame. You must have taken the photos or have permission to submit them.
Notifications
The mobile app requests notification permission only after you create a reminder. Reminder notifications are scheduled locally by your device. You can disable them in Dose Radar or in your operating system settings at any time.
Optional email interest
After a product result, you may request a notice when email summaries and the paid beta become available. We store only the email you enter, your notification choices, the consent wording and version, submission time, expiration time and a hash of your private removal token. No barcode, scanned product, health profile or protocol is attached to that request. News and offers require a separate, optional choice that is unchecked by default. The request does not create an account or subscription.
Email delivery is not connected yet. We do not send a summary, welcome message or promotion at this stage. Addresses remain unverified; future mail delivery must first implement address confirmation and working unsubscribe controls. Requests expire for contact after 90 days; expired records are cleaned up when the next interest request is processed. No marketing list is sold or shared.
A private removal link is saved on your device before a request is sent, including if the response is interrupted. These local receipts contain only random identifiers, removal tokens and dates, not your email or scanned products. You can also download the link. Use Email preferences to select and delete a request without signing in. Keep these links private. Each separate request has its own link. Deletion removes the email and choices; a cancellation receipt containing the random ID, token hash and time remains to prevent delayed retries from recreating the contact. If both browser storage and your downloaded link are lost, automated email-based recovery is not yet available; contact expiration still applies.
Downloads and simple usage counts
“Download summary” generates a text file in your browser containing product facts, source links and cautions. It does not send email or upload your profile. The file is a dated snapshot, not a cloud history or a personal prescription.
We keep daily aggregate counts of first-result events, results on a later day and summary-download actions. We also use first-party, cookie-free traffic measurement to understand launch performance. A random identifier created for the current browser tab records the date, landing page, pages visited, campaign tag and referral hostname when available. It is not connected to an email, barcode, health profile, supplement protocol or account. The browser copy disappears when the tab session ends; the de-identified server rows are retained for up to 90 days. Each page is counted at most once per tab session per day to reduce refresh spam. These are approximate sessions, not verified people. Our hosting provider may separately process technical logs as described below.
Website hosting
Our hosting provider may process limited technical information, such as IP address, browser type, request time, and security logs, to deliver and protect the site. Dose Radar does not sell personal data or use third-party advertising trackers.
Health information
Dose Radar is not a medical device and is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Do not enter personally identifiable health information. Consult a qualified healthcare professional before changing a supplement or treatment plan.
Children
Dose Radar is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Contact and deletion
You can delete My Profile directly from the profile page. You can delete other device-local app data by removing saved items, clearing site data, or uninstalling the app. Revoking camera permission stops future camera access. After a package-photo submission, Dose Radar displays a private review ID and a “Delete pending photos” control so you can remove the pending record and images directly. For other privacy questions, visit Dose Radar Support.
This policy may be revised as the product changes. Material updates will be reflected here with a new effective date.
