Support
Quick answers for using the research library, barcode scanner, My Protocol, label analyzer, and reminders.
Install the private beta
Open the Dose Radar installation page on an iPhone or Android phone. The installed web app opens in its own window and keeps My Protocol on that device. The native App Store and Google Play editions require separate store review.
Create or delete My Profile
Open My Profile to save a nickname, adult age band, optional measures, goals, activities and a short safety intake. This private-beta profile stays in the current browser and does not create a synced account. Use “Delete this device profile” at the bottom of that page to remove it and its calculator measures.
Keep a result or request a launch notice
After a successful product lookup, use “Download summary” to save its facts, sources and cautions as a text file. The result stays available without sign-up. Open “Email summaries & Premium beta” only if you want to register interest; no email is sent, no payment is taken and no account is created yet. News and offers have a separate optional checkbox. Save the private removal link shown after registration to delete that request later.
What Dose Radar does
Dose Radar summarizes human research, studied protocols, food equivalents, absorption context, and known safety considerations for common supplements. The weight-based calculator translates published mg/kg or g/kg protocols into a total while preserving the research context. Evidence grades and calculations are not personal recommendations.
Reminders are not medical instructions
The schedule checks timing and meal context against general research. It cannot account for your diagnosis, medicines, laboratory results, pregnancy, allergies, or clinician instructions. Always follow advice from your healthcare professional when it differs.
Troubleshoot notifications
- Confirm notifications are enabled for Dose Radar in device settings.
- Confirm the reminder is enabled and the device time zone is correct.
- Battery-saving settings can delay alerts on some Android devices.
- Remove and recreate a reminder after restoring or changing devices.
Troubleshoot barcode scanning
- Allow camera access when prompted and use the rear camera.
- Keep the full barcode inside the frame with bright, even light.
- Move the camera slightly farther away if the bars are blurry.
- Use “Scan a photo” on the web or enter the printed digits manually.
- A valid code can still be absent from both NIH DSLD and the Open Food Facts community database.
- For an unknown code, open “Help add this exact package” and submit clear package-front and Facts-panel photos. Save the private review ID shown afterward; pending photos can be deleted from the same confirmation panel.
Report an evidence or product issue
Include the supplement name, page, citation or device model, and a short description. Until a dedicated support mailbox is connected, keep the details ready and check this page for the published contact channel.
Urgent safety issue? Contact local emergency services or a poison control center. Do not rely on Dose Radar for emergency care.
